Volunteer in Nepal

Working as a gap year volunteer in Nepal is a great way to contribute to one of the world’s most beautiful countries. As a volunteer in Nepal you also gain a unique insight in to Nepalese culture and daily life – as well as getting to know both local people and other like-minded volunteers. In order to volunteer on a Nepal gap year it’s not necessary to have specific skills, just enthusiasm and a desire to ‘give something back’ on your gap year.

Nepal volunteer
If you’d like to be a Nepal volunteer, Real Gap has an extremely rewarding programme dedicated to teaching abroad and providing disadvantaged Nepalese children with a better start in life.

Tip... if teaching isn't your 'thing' other volunteer options are available, you could even combine trekking with volunteering!

Nepal Everest Basecamp Expedition

Make the trek of a lifetime to the Everest Base Camp and push yourself to your physical limits. Follow it with a Nepalese community project and a jungle safari - experiences you'll never forget!

Nepal Community Volunteers

Teach at a school, an orphanage or in a monastery, work on a medical project or help with building and construction work. Jungle safaris, elephant rides and dance lessons will teach you about Nepal, too.

Nepal Construction Volunteer

Help with the construction of a new children’s centre, and come away feeling you’ve made a worthwhile contribution. Learn new skills or practise your old ones – but what really counts is enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

Everest

This challenging and rugged adventure, with plenty of time for sensible acclimatisation, follows the classic route to the Base Camp of Mount Everest and Kala Patar.
