Country Information
Known as the ‘Abode of the Gods’, Nepal is in a state of natural beauty, with the highest mountains in the world and is renowned for its spectacular views. Nepal is separated into two religious groups: Indo-Argans and Mangloid. The main language is Nepali, however there are twenty other languages, which are divided into numerous dialects.

Nepal is 5 hours and 45 minutes ahead of GMT.
Getting there
You will need to book a flight into Kathmandu airport. Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will spend you first night in a hotel where you have a chance to relax after your flight and meet your fellow volunteers.
Climate
Nepal has two monsoons per year. The dry season runs from October to May and the wet from June to September. Summer is May to September with temperatures reaching 30 degrees. Even in the winter months from October to April, the bright sunny days can reach 20 degrees but plummets at night.
