A great opportunity for a more physical volunteer role working in Nepal, one of the world's most scenic and beautiful countries. This programme mainly focuses on constructing a Child Day Care Centre.
Volunteer RoleSome of the activities that you can expect to carry out on the programme are:
- Plastering
- Plumbing
- Piping
- Painting
- Gardening
- Constructing playgrounds and table tennis boards
- Organic farming
Volunteers are expected to take initiative and show creativity in their role. Work hours are approximately 5 to 7 hours a day.
Project Location
You will spend your time in Chitwan, Nepal. On arrival at the airport you will be taken to a hotel in Kathmandu where you will have your 4-day orientation before heading to a local village to experience village life.
Accommodation & MealsYou will live with a local host family in Chitwan. Volunteers have the opportunity to stay in their own room or share with another participant. Typically, you will start the day with a cup of tea at 7am, followed by a late morning breakfast of Dal/Bhat (Nepali food) around 10am. Lunch will be provided in the afternoon consisting of snacks such as rice or bread and a Nepali dinner will be provided in the evening. Your help in the kitchen and vegetable garden will be greatly appreciated.
