Turoa ski field is located on Mount Ruapehu, in the centre of the North Island of New Zealand. It is one of the premier ski resorts of New Zealand, offering the biggest vertical drop in Australasia and more ski lifts and runs than most of its South Island counterparts. The terrain is well-suited to both skiers and boarders, making Turoa a great allround mountain to train on. In addition to this, Turoa’s high altitude and South-West facing slopes means that powder conditions are dry over the winter months, giving you great conditions for the duration of the course.
