Programme: Malaysia Zoo Volunteer

Hi there

I would just like to say a big thank you as I had the time of my life doing the Zoo programme. I am now in Cambodia and having a great time too. I have a few days in Kuala Lumpur before flying back to England so I am planning on revisiting the zoo just to say my final goodbyes before I leave.

I am not sure what else I can really say but thank you for giving me the chance to be able to do this and experience everything I have.

The whole three months was amazing and I will be sad to go home. I think anyone that does the trip will really enjoy themselves and hopefully make a bond with the animals like I did.

The zookeepers are all really nice and friendly and they made working there a real blast. The animals are great as well and all have there own strange but funny personalities. There is so much that can be done to the zoo but they need the money and time.

All the animals are really well looked after and all seem to be happy and enjoy themselves.

Hopefully when I go back and visit Ronnie, a female Orang-utan, will have given birth to the twins. It would be lovely to see her again, she gives you that look that full-term pregnant women have - please get this thing out of me! She is huge at the mo but she still looks gorgeous and she loves Smarties.

Anyway need to go and get some lunch. Hope you are getting loads of people signed up to the programme, as it is so worthwhile.

Nicci Bailey
