I have just returned from the Orangutan Experience in Malaysia. The programme made me feel really lucky to have experienced something so unreal, I feel truly privileged!

I really enjoyed spending time with the orangutans and helping to entertain them each day. I also really enjoyed the jungle portion of my trip and spending time getting to know the Iban Tribe; I was surprised at how welcoming they were.

Since participating in this trip I have learnt to weave and also know that I can interact with orangutans and other cultures successfully. I have also found out that I have what it takes to hike and trek up massive hills in the jungle and hope to use the knowledge I have gained on this trip to do something truly useful in the future.

I wish I had the time to continue the experiences for a few more days - we were really getting to know the Iban well by the end of the trip and I really felt that we made a difference to the Orangutans while we were there!

I now know that I would like to work with Orangutans full time!
