Boasting stunning coastlines, lush rainforest and rugged mountains, Peru is a country rich in diversity and ripe for adventure. Your four week Peru Experience takes you to the heart of the ancient Incan Empire, starting with its vibrant capital, Cusco. Here you will experience an array of Incan and colonial architectural gems, culminating in a trip to the awe-inspiring Lost City of Macchu Picchu.

After selecting and spending time on one of our great volunteer projects, you’ll head south to Lake Titicaca where you will lodge with indigenous islanders and marvel at the breathtaking landscapes that characterise the world’s highest navigable lake.

Week One - Introduction to Peru
This week will be an introduction to the Peruvian culture and the Spanish language and a chance to meet others on the project.

Weeks Two & Three - Helping Local People
These weeks are spent helping on a volunteer project based within Cusco, the options include working at a local school, a local orphanage or a street children project.

Week Four - Lake Titicaca
Take a trip to the highest navigable lake in the world. Enjoy an unforgettable boat trip over the world famous Lake Titicaca, visit the extraordinary reed islands and live with the villagers of one of the few inhabited islands.

Location

Cusco, ancient capital of the Incan Empire, Machu Picchu & Lake Titicaca.

Accommodation and Meals

Weeks 1, 2 & 3 - During these three weeks accommodation is with a local family, conveniently located for the language school and volunteer projects. You will have your own room and meals are included.

Week 4 - Accomodation includes spending two nights in a hotel in Puno and two nights with the local islanders on Lake Titicaca. Meals are not included during this week.
