This week you begin your working on a volunteer project based within Cusco. You will be able to visit the projects before you choose which one you would like to work on. Your options include a local school, a local orphanage or a street children project.

Each of these choices will involve working to develop the children’s education and selfconfidence, as well as giving you the chance to get back in touch with your inner child by playing and generally interacting with the children.

You will volunteer from Monday to Friday with evenings free to socialise in the many bars, restaurants and Latin dance clubs in the centre of Cusco.

Option A:
Saturday: A visit to the lost Incan city of Machu Picchu. You’ll have to
get up early to get the train up to the site with your
anthropologist guide.

Sunday: This is a free day to spend as you wish.

Option B:
You have the option of doing the full 4-day Inca Trail trek if you are feeling adventurous. This trip leaves on Thursday and arrives at Machu Picchu four gruelling days later on Sunday morning in time for sunrise over the city.
