Ranch Volunteer Programme USA
Project Location Near Cody, Wyoming
State of Wyoming The project is located on the Absaroka Front, a prong of the Rocky Mountains, in Grass Creek, WY, between Thermopolis and Cody. Ride out on 66,000 acres, ranging from sage brush flats to expansive mountain views.
The land is wild and beautiful and fewer people travel this 15-mile wide and 25-mile long country today than travelled it seventy years ago.
Weekend Travel Volunteers may opt out of activities to take a half-day or full-day break to relax, or take in activities in the surrounding area at the end of the ride day.
The project is in operation 7 days a week. If you would like to take some time out to see the surrounding areas simply let the onsite staff know.
You can easily rent a car and travel to the world-renowned Yellowstone National Park where buffalo, elk, moose, deer, bear and other wildlife roam. Just south of Yellowstone is the magnificent Grand Tetons National Park where you can take in stunning views and visit the town of Jackson Hole.
