Real Development Fund
Real Development Fund
The Real Development Fund was set up to work with and help a number of our most under-resourced projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America. As well as sending volunteers to contribute to the fantastic work that the projects do, we are now able to help them in another way, be it generally, or for something they specifically need.
Real Gap will set aside funds every year that will go straight into the Development Fund. We also encourage you, our volunteers and participants to contribute - some of you have seen the types of situations that some people contend with, or the dire need for conservation to protect the wildlife and habitats of the countries in which we operate. You will be all too aware what a difference your time can make and how far a little money can go. All of your hard earned dosh that you donate goes straight to the projects. Every pound will be appreciated and go towards making a real difference.
What goes where?
All the money we collect in the Development Fund bank account is used to benefit our projects. The projects themselves can submit applications for support, or we will give selected projects money for specific developments, such as building work, buying books for local schools, or fencing to protect reserve areas and threatened wildlife. If we don't get any applications then we will identify areas of need from project visits and assessments.
How you can help…
If you want to make a general donation to support some of the valuable work the projects that we help are doing that is great, or you can select a specific project that you have been to, or are travelling to in the future.
If you are keen to do some fundraising please visit our
fundraising advice
page.
You can make a donation by sending us a cheque through the post, ringing with your credit card details, give what you can.
Knowing where your money goes…
Well to be honest, the best way to see the effects of your donation is to go out to the project and see it at work! Until then, everyone who gives a contribution to the Development Fund will receive an annual report, which will also be posted on our website, stating how much money has been received and more importantly, how it was spent.
