Name:   Richard Pearson
Programme: African Horseback and Conservation Experience

How was your experience in the destination that you travelled to with Real Gap?
Unforgettable. The South African bush is everything that you expect it to be and more. The things that i have learnt i'm sure will put me in good stead for when i go again!

What did you think of the programme?
Millie and Rhalda's farm was great. The programme is set out well and the day is always full of things to look at, find out about and of course the beautiful horses. I was surprised with how much i learnt about the bush and the animals in it. Not to mention that they have now got me riding like Franky Detori!

What was the accommodation like?
This was the biggest surprise as you think that when you get there you still kind of expect to be in a tent and sleeping bag, but there was large communal rooms which were very comfy and a kitchen fitted out with everything you need - and of course a large chest freezer for a refreshing drink (non alcoholic!).

Were you pleased you went with Real Gap?
Yes very. The staff were very knowledgeable on the course and were enthusiastic about helping me pick the right course.

What was the most memorable moment of your trip?
Well strangely enough it was the final day i think because it was only then that i realised how much i was going to miss the farm, Millie, Rhaldi, Tara, Kirsty and the horses. Apart from that, seeing the bush on horse back and having the opportunity to get so close to the animals was fantastic.
