Name: Rosy Budden
Programme: Australia Outback Ranch Package
Dates: 25th January - April

What was your motivation to take a gap break?
I had always wanted a year out before the 5 years I'm going to be studying for and really wanted to experience more of the world, see things and develop as a person, and have a fantastic time!!!!

How did you feel before you joined the programme?
I had no idea where to start on organising stuff and was worried that it could all go wrong.

How did Real Gap assist you?
They helped with organising everything and gave me some good advice
Rosy Budden's Experience

Rosy's Experience on the Outback Ranch Programme What was the accommodation like?
Excellent. It was all modern. I mean it was dorm bunks - but that's expected. But the actual house we were in was great. It even had a pool table!

What did you think of the programme?
Really explanatory and they helped me find a perfect job

What was the most memorable moment of your trip?
Definitely mustering the Cattle

What do you feel you accomplished?
I Really felt that I wasn't just travelling in Australia. I actually got to meet loads of Australian people who I remain friends with. It was great as I learned much more about the country and their way of life, and how to cook a good Barbie, than I would have done if I travelled up the east cost like most people!!!!!!!!!

How have you benefited from your experience?
I feel I have grown up a lot as a person and it gave me a lot of confidence to just go up to people and start a conversation which has made it a piece of cake to go to uni!!!!!! I just feel a lot more independent
