Russia Experience - Trans-Siberian Railway
Project Location You will be travelling through Russia, Mongolia and China during your trip.
Russia When travelling through Russia it will become apparent just how vast the largest country in the world really is, with it stretching from Europe to the Pacific and from the Arctic to as far south as the deserts of Central Asia. The sight of the Kremlin and Lake Baikal will be unforgettable and don’t forget to visit the Siberian saunas and the wild night clubs that Russia has become famous for.
Mongolia Visiting Mongolia is like stepping back in time to a place where people ride around on horses and live in distinctive white tents. The country is six times the size of Britain but with just 2.7 million people living there, it’s a country of emptiness and stunning scenery.
China China has for many years been referred to as a sleeping giant, not anymore, with an economic boom sweeping across the country now is the best time to catch China’s unique heritage before it disappears.
China can already boast astounding contrasts in architecture and life style with a mixture of ancient pagodas and modern skyscrapers in cities like Beijing. While there, make sure that you try a traditional Chinese massage as well as sampling the unique Chinese food.
Weather During the course of your travel you will pass through many different locations where the climate changes greatly from summer to winter. The average temperature during July- August varies depending on location between 19-34°C. However, during the winter months the average temperature can be as low as –10 to –28°C along the journey.
Getting There The programme includes transfers on arrival at the airport to Moscow, all transfers in Siberia and Mongolia, and of course all train tickets travelling as far as Beijing.
