Volunteer Role
There are two shelters, set up to care for babies and toddlers, from age zero to four! The children are at the shelter for legal reasons; be it to protect them from abusive families, or because they have been put up for adoption, with the aim to find a suitable home for them, once the Chilean Justice system has cast judgement on their future.
Daily duties include waking, feeding, bathing and caring for the babies and toddlers. Love and attention is what they need most, to give them the best possible start in life.
As the centres are always overworked and understaffed, your help is well received. As a minimum, you will be required to volunteer for 10 hrs per week. If you are able to offer more time, it is greatly appreciated.
