See the world with Real Gap
|
 |
Real Gap has programmes in over 45 countries all over the globe and if you want to see the world then our website is the best starting point for planning your big trip. All of Real Gap's team of travel experts have taken a gap year themselves, so if you want to speak to anyone for advice on how best to see the world they are an excellent source of information.
If you want to see the world on your gap year the best way to do so is by investing in a round the world plane ticket.
The main things to bear in mind if you choose to see the world this way are:
|

|
- You have to decide on which countries you are going to make stops in before you leave the UK
- You must always fly in a continuous direction.
- If you see the world with a round the world plane ticket you usually have 12 months to complete your itinerary (however you are generally permitted to change your dates of travel if you need to.)
- Round the world plane tickets often won't set you back much more than the average price of a return ticket to Australia - so it's usually an extremely cost effective way to see the world.
|
|
For much more detailed information on how to see the world with a round the world plane ticket click on Real Gap's ‘Round the World' page. Where you choose to travel is completely a matter of personal taste, and it's impossible for Real Gap to advise which are the best places for you to visit if you want to see the world.
You will need to decide which parts of it you most want to visit on your gap year or career break.
Real Gap can help you see the world in the following places: See the world - Asia
Real Gap has excellent programmes in India, Nepal, Russia, Mongolia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and Sri Lanka. If you want to see the world and are on a tight budget most of these countries (with Japan being the main exception) have a much lower cost of living compared to the west - so your gap year money will generally go much further when you see the world by visiting Asia. More importantly, however, all of these countries have so much to offer in terms of possessing a unique culture and fantastic sights. If you want to see the world and do some volunteer work in order to ‘give something back' to some of the countries you visit along the way there are some excellent volunteer projects throughout Asia as well.
See the world - Africa
If you want to experience getting up-close to some fantastic wildlife when you see the world then Africa is an essential destination for your gap year. Real Gap has some incredible wildlife volunteer programmes in Africa as well as numerous people-based projects carrying out vital work. Real Gap has programmes in Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Senegal, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe - so, if you want to visit Africa when you see the world, we have got the key places covered.
See the world - Latin America
If you want to visit Latin America when you see the world, Real Gap has a diverse range of programmes in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, Guatemala and Peru. Party at the Rio Carnival, trek the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru or explore the unique wildlife of the Galapagos - it's all possible when you see the world with Real Gap!
See the world - Australasia
If you plan to work at some point when you see the world then Australia and New Zealand are particularly good places to do so. In fact Real Gap can guarantee you jobs there. The social life, amazing scenery and list of things to see and do isn't exactly bad Down Under either!
See the world - North America
If you have always fancied a road trip across the USA or exploring the vast Canadian wilderness when you see the world, then go for it! Real Gap can also arrange working visas for Canada and the US too.
