How did you feel before you joined the programme?
Very nervous and I wanted to find out as many practical things as possible before leaving (if I can use my phone etc.). It was nice to know that I could call Real Gap any time with all my random questions!
What was the accommodation like? My accommodation was great and my host family were lovely.
What did you think of the programme? I enjoyed my time in Moldova so much - I learnt a lot about the country, I met some really lovely people and I loved teaching!
What advice could you offer to someone considering this project?
Bring lots of pictures of where you are from, your family and friends.
If you want to bring anything for the school then good ideas are books and sweets.
Be prepared for lots of questions.
Your phone might not work with a Moldovan SIM card (mine didn't), but I borrowed a Nokia phone and that worked fine.
