Ski Gap Year

Take a ski gap year and join one of Real Sport Experience's ski instructor programmes. Spend the best part of a ski season getting qualified and then follow the snow to a ski season job elsewhere.
Ski gap years are becoming increasingly popular. Many people are choosing to do a ski season gap year, as it's a great chance to obtain a fully recognised ski instructor qualification. This shows that you have managed to use your time doing something worthwhile and fun too.
While gap year sports programmes are relatively new, skiing gap years have existed for a long time. In fact, ski gap years are considered to be the original gap year sports programmes and some would say they are the ultimate in sports training abroad.
Gap year ski programmes can take several forms, however, most people choose to do a ski instructor course in places like New Zealand, Canada and the USA. Other people look to take a ski season gap year and work in the resorts, allowing them to ski all day every day. The important thing to remember is that when taking a ski gap year, you take a lot from the experience. Ski instructor courses are the best way to do this, but it is possible to join a sports volunteer project. Real Sport Experience will soon have a ski volunteer programme in the USA.
