Volunteer Role
The project aims to help any injured or orphaned animal, not just monkeys. When ready, the animals are released back into their natural habitat. Another focus and development of the project is to improve animal conservation and government policy.
The project requires volunteers to do the following tasks:
- Feed animals
- Care for animals
- Prepare food
- Check animals for injuries
- Help tend to wounds
- Build new enclosures
- Plant veggies for the animals' food
Your work will probably not be limited to these tasks - as a volunteer in Africa you need to be flexible! You may also work alongside local rural communities and children, teaching and assisting with uplifting schemes.
