I enjoyed all the hands on work with the monkeys and also stitching up a baby monkey to help it get better. I also really enjoyed interacting with the family and all the volunteers. I learnt a great deal about Vervet Monkeys and primate care. I also learnt a lot about the political structure and situation of the country.
Just be really enthusiastic and you will have an amazing time - really great.
Emily Cummins, 05/02/06 - 02/03/06 The project is an ideal way to learn new skills, make new friends from all over the world and learn more about ones self.
The excursions and sights coupled with the experiences with the animals at the rehabilitation centre will stay with me for the rest of my life.
