Programme Details
The project is run by a non-profit organisation that was set up in 2000 to establish skills development and income generating activities in the village of Hamburg in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The projects are run with the aim or promoting hope and health as well as pride and self-respect among the people living by the Keiskamma River, a desperately poor area of the Eastern Cape.
The organisation runs three main projects; Aids treatment, Art Projects and Education Initiatives, the combination of which has been vital in tackling some of the social problems associated with HIV/AIDS and poverty and has provided the villagers with valuable, income-generating skills.
