This Wildlife Art Course provides the perfect opportunity to observe wildlife, learn or develop your skills and unlock your artistic talent!

Set within a private game farm you will be taking part in an exclusive and varied wildlife art course The program is structured to enable you to appreciate the miracles of creation in the South African bush and to unleash the creative artist within.

During your programme you will periodically have the chance to work with the horses to further develop your artistic skills. Occasionally there will be outrides into the bush and the horses are used for the extensive studies of movement of other animals.

Project Location

Your art course will take place to the West of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. You will experience the peaceful setting and beautiful backdrop of the Northern Drakensberg Mountains.

The reserve is situated down a dirt track, 12km from Hoedspruit, which is a small town located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

Accommodation

The accommodation at the project is really special – a rustic bush lodge!

You will be staying in elevated, timber and thatched cabins, sharing with another volunteer. The camp is set in a riverine area. The showers and western-style toilets are located close to the rooms. They are open-air structures with running water – hot water is supplied by fire “geysers”. Taking a shower under the stars contributes to the overall African experience.

The art sessions take place either on a thatched decked area with open sides in the camp or we take our easels and chairs out into the bush!
