Sri Lanka has benefited massively from responsible tourism in recent years. The 2004 Tsunami had a devastating effect on much of Sri Lanka’s coastal towns, that volunteer efforts have played an important part in the re-development and continued progress of Sri Lanka’s economy. However, Sri Lanka is not lacking in so many areas. With warm people, beautiful beaches, wildlife-rich National Parks and excellent beaches, your trip to Sri Lanka would be as diverse as it would be rewarding.
Free Time
Weekends are free days. Plus there is a day off each month when there is a full moon. There is at least one public holiday each month. You will be able to explore the surrounding area, take an elephant safari, or get involved with what is going on in the community.
Getting There
All participants need to fly into Colombo International Airport. Sri Lankan Airlines and British Airways fly direct from the UK.
