Join a sports volunteer project as part of your gap year or career break. RSE has a number of excellent sports volunteer projects worldwide to choose from as part of a gap year sports programme. These include sports development projects, general sports coaching and specific sports coaching.
Volunteering is still an important part of anyone's time out. In the past it has always looked towards the areas of conservation or education. In recent years it has become more apparent that sport as a medium for education has been underused and more sports volunteer projects are becoming available to harness its influence over so many young people.
Sport, however, offers more than just a new medium to help. It's fun, it's universal, but most importantly, it's a way for people to volunteer where previous projects do not appeal to your skills or interest.
