Street Children Volunteer Project Peru
Teach, play and change the lives of some of Peru's most disadvantaged children.
This is a great opportunity to help in some of the poorest areas of Cusco. The kids and staff are fantastic and full of energy which makes this project great! |
| Why not combine this project with our Peru Spanish Language School? Learn some Spanish before you join the project and with all the included trips and tours it's a unique way to experience the culture!
Volunteer RoleThere are a number of options open to volunteers depending on individual skills. Activities include helping in the classroom and helping with a variety of occupational activities. Extra help will also be needed to find funding and to market the project (current funding runs out soon). Teaching the children to prepare meals and to clean up afterwards is also a priority of the school.
Volunteers are required to help during the afternoons as the children attend school in the mornings. This is a great chance to make a difference in the lives of children who have had a bad start in life and to help build personalities and skills that will help them later in life.
Project LocationSet in the beautiful colonial city of Cusco about 15 minutes walk or a short bus journey from your volunteer accommodation.
Accommodation & Meals
Shared accommodation is in one of our student apartments just a 15 minute walk from the centre for street kids. Bathrooms are clean and have a shower, western toilet and hot water. The apartment is close to the main Plaza De Armas, shops, restaurants, clubs and bars. Meals are not included so volunteers usually take it in turns to cook!
