Swaziland Community Sports Project
Project Location Lobamba and Manzini, Swaziland
Swaziland Swaziland is a beautiful kingdom, land-locked by South Africa and Mozambique, in the South East of Africa. With a little over 1 million people, it’s certainly one of the smaller African nations, but is equally as beautiful and interesting as those who share its borders. Despite suffering from similar problems with poverty and HIV/AIDS, Swaziland is considered to be one of the safest countries in Southern Africa, with its people demonstrating civility and peacefulness to those who are lucky enough to travel there. With these things in mind, Swaziland is the ideal place for your sports gap adventure!
Weekends and Free Time Weekends are your time to relax with other volunteers or for you to explore the wonders and attractions of Swaziland. Various activities are available including walking, horse riding, and mountain biking and visiting local craft markets. Where possible, the volunteer coordinator can organize long weekend trips to Kruger National Park, Mozambique and St. Lucia (coastal town in South Africa), which are all within a few hours of Swaziland.
How to Get There You need to arrange your flights to arrive into Manzini International Airport. From here, you will be collected by our local coordinator and taken to your accommodation. South African Airways fly there via Johannesburg 3 times daily.
