I'd encourage everyone to go to Tanzania and get fully involved in teaching and the culture.
The strongest recommendation is just to remember that this is Africa, its completely different to what we think as normal, and therefore just be happy to adjust and try a new way of living for a while! |

It was really great to be given the contact details of the other volunteers whilst in England as it meant that I arranged to meet them at the airport and therefore I felt more comfortable than if I had been travelling alone. It also meant that we arrived at the same time and so could learn our way around and begin our projects together.
I worked from 8am-1pm every day in a Primary School teaching and spent the afternoons either helping the other volunteers teach English to the Maasai tribe or relaxing at the beach. I did think doing projects both in the morning and afternoon was quite exhausting but meeting the children and spending time with them was good. |
