Tanzania Reach Out to Children

Your Typical Itinerary

Here is how a typical day in the life of a Tanzania volunteer might take shape. Please note that your project may differ from this, depending on your own experience, project choice and the number of other volunteers on the placement at the same time, and this is simply to provide an example:

7:00am - Get up and start getting ready for your project. Eat breakfast.

8:00 – 9:00 – Begin walking to your project. Most are within walking distance: If not, you will need to use public transport or be taken there by project staff.

12:00 - Lunch break is usually around noon depending on the placement and there are many small bars and restaurants around to relax.

1:00 - Afternoon session working on your projects

3:00 – End of your working day and time to either relax or spend time with the children in the local community, playing sports or creating extra activities for them

7:00 – 8:00 – Dinnertime with the other volunteers at the house.

Please note: Itineraries and activities are subject to change
