Teaching football during your gap year or career break is becoming an extremely popular way to volunteer. Football is one of the world's most popular sports, with a huge demand for volunteers to fill the void of football teachers in developing countries.
Real Sport Experience offer a number of gap year sports programmes where you have the opportunity to teach football to underprivileged children. Some of the projects are specifically based around coaching football during your gap year. Others are general sports volunteer projects where the opportunity to teach football will be one of your responsibilities. In both, you will play a major role in teaching football during your time out abroad.

Help with PE lessons in local schools and organise games of football and other sports. Your skills and enthusiasm will inspire underprivileged children who often have to make do with little or no equipment.
Eat, sleep and breathe football as you play alongside the champions of South America! Learn the typical Latin tricks of the trade from those who do them best and maybe teach them a thing or two of your own.
Teach children who often make do with carrier bags for balls and inspire them to play football or take up other sports. You’ll combine much needed sports coaching with academic tuition.
Use your love of football to inspire and educate children from disadvantaged backgrounds. You’ll work on a street project or a talent academy, organising training sessions and tournaments, refereeing, advising on tactics and teaching new exercises.
