Local Orientation
Once you have been met and picked up from the airport, you will be taken to your accommodation to settle in. On your first full day, your coordinators will guide you through the tennis academy programme and help to answer any questions you may have in your orientation. Your orientation will cover:
- Expected behaviour
Safety – areas and places to avoid, what to do in an emergency
- Locations of important amenities – banks, hospitals, embassies
- Transportation and travel in Australia – where to go, how to get there
Accommodation and Meals
All accommodation on this programme is with a local host-family. This allows you to get to know a bit more about Australian culture first-hand and to have a support network of people while you are in Australia.
The host-family will provide you with breakfast and an evening meal each day, with a packed-lunch. Snacks can be bought at local shops or at the Academy Café.
Project Age Limit
Minimum age 17, maximum decided on potential participant’s health
Project Support
Throughout your stay you will have the support and guidance of your local project coordinator and team. You will be provided with competent assistance and help with any questions or advice you may need during your stay. In addition you will have access to a 24 hour emergency contact number so you can contact one of our UK staff at any time should you need to.
