The base camp is located 142kms North of Bangkok in Sing Buri province (see map below). The area you will be staying in is rural and has not been affected by tourism.
This camp is situated about 10 km from the town of Singburi and takes about 15 minutes from the eco-houses you will be staying in. In Singburi you will find all the amenities you need i.e. internet, shops, swimming pool, hospital, pharmacy, banks and restaurants. There are plenty of trips into Singburi or you can easily take a taxi.
Weather The climate of most of Thailand is governed by three seasons, rainy (roughly June-Oct), cool (Nov-Feb) and hot (March-May). It is always warm in Thailand and the rainy season is not like here in the UK, rain will come in short heavy bursts.
Spending Money Thailand is very cheap and as your food and accommodation is included, I would advise working on a budget of about £30-40 per week. Your holiday week will probably be your most expensive.
Free Time There is plenty of free time in evenings to relax and explore. You can sunbathe in the garden, read a book, catch up with friends or visit the town of Singburi to catch up on your emails. It is easy to arrange another weekend in the capital, as Singburi is only 2 hours away from Bangkok.
