Accommodation
Your accommodation will be in the hostel centre or if you would prefer, you are able to stay with a local host family. Please be aware that the accommodation that you are staying in will be very basic. You will have Thai style bathrooms, with Asian toilets and a bucket shower only. There may not be hot water.
All participants are asked to be environmentally aware, use resources with restraint (particularly water, electricity and paper) and will be expected to clean up after themselves. All of your food will be included during your stay and will be of the typical AKHA style. You will have plenty of opportunity to learn how to cook Thai style, as you will be preparing your daily meals with the help and assistance of your new Thai friends and the other volunteers.
Free Time
There will be plenty of free time for you to explore the local area. The evenings, particularly, are your time. You can chat to other travellers, play cards, write your diary, read and generally chill out. Some people bring their iPod with speakers.
Project Age Limit
Minimum of 18 years, maximum dependent on health of participant.
