Thailand Orphanage Volunteers

Trip code: THVO

Most large orphanages in Thailand have their own primary (and secondary) school for the pupils, the school is also open for underprivileged families. The orphanage provides housing, food and teaching materials for less fortunate students. You’ll need un-faltering enthusiasm, a creative personality and a willingness to be constantly on the go! The rewards from this volunteer project are endless. You can spread happiness and also receive it from the laughter of the young people you are helping.

Time

Thai people are very informal and at the same time very creative and care free.  So be aware that plans can change without clear reason and be prepared to be flexible.

Climate

In general it is hot all year round. On average the temperature is around 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity is high all the time.

Due to the monsoon climate, there is a rainy season lasting from the end of July to the end of October. March is the hottest month of the year. If you are going during the monsoon, don’t worry there is plenty of sun in between the showers.
