The Real Australia Experience

You will get to see the majority of this amazing and vast country and experience places most people wouldn’t get to see on their own. Incorporating fun activities, sight seeing, tours and bus passes you will travel from Darwin to Adelaide, on to Sydney and then up the East Coast to Cairns.

The Programme

This great package starts in Darwin in the far north of Australia and finishes in tropical Cairns in Northern Queensland.

After the tour you will have 2 weeks at our Wildlife Sanctuary in Adelaide getting hands on with some native Australia wildlife. Then get on the Oz Experience Bus, which takes you through South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, finishing in Sydney. Here you will have 7 days of organised activities with a group of like-minded people seeing the best sights in the City and making some great friends!

After your first week in Sydney you can choose whether to stay on for a while or jump back on the Oz Experience Bus to head up the East Coast of the country. The bus pass takes you the whole way up to tropical Cairns in Northern Queensland.

Once you’ve finished the bus pass you will spend 2 weeks on a conservation project in Cairns – the work is really varied but you’ll get to experience a side of Australia most people don’t get to see and have a fab time doing it!

Location

Darwin to Adelaide then through South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales and Stop in Sydney. From Sydney you can travel up the East Coast to Cairns.

Accommodation and meals

Whilst you are volunteering, accommodation will be in the grounds of the sanctuary in basic canvas cabins. There are at least 6 beds per cabin with separate cabins available for males and females. You may have to share a cabin with other participants though it is likely that you will be sharing with only 2-3 other people at the one time.

During your time volunteering, sanctuary staff will be supplying the majority of food. Participants do the cooking, facilities will be provided.
