The Real Tanzania Gap Experience
|
This project is based in the Moshi area of Northern Tanzania, literally in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. There is a strong community and wildlife focus and there is probably nowhere better in the world to enjoy an experience combining these elements.
Tanzania is home to over one-quarter of Africa’s wildlife and we have included our favourite safari route as part of your stay. For the really adventurous you can use one of your weeks to climb Kilimanjaro or Mt Meru and to finish things off enjoy 10 days on Zanzibar Island!
10 day Zanzibar trip is only for 8 & 12 week participants.
Tanzania Gap Experience Highlights
- 3–week School Community Project in the Kilimanjaro foothills
- 3-day Safari to Tanzanian National Parks
- 10-day Zanzibar ‘Beach Life’ including Dolphin and Spice Tours
- Swahili lessons, orientation and 24-hour on-site management
- Cultural excursion days including a visit to a cultural village
- Optional mountain week for Kilimanjaro or Mt Meru*
* Mountain climbs are booked separately on request for an additional charge
LocationMoshi area of Northern Tanzania in a rural community.
Accommodation and MealsThe accommodation throughout the project will be a mixture of 3-4 person large and comfortable walk in tents at the project, and simple hotel accommodation in Zanzibar. 3 wholesome meals a day are provided.
