Accommodation and Meals
Sharing accommodation will be on a single sex basis. You will also have access to western-style toilet facilities and cold-water showers.
3 wholesome meals a day are provided - Fresh fish, meat, chicken, fruit and vegetables are all standard daily fare. Purchases are made daily and you are encouraged to “barter” and purchase supplies from local villagers i.e. fisherman, thus encouraging important cultural interaction and financial support. A wide range of diets can also be catered for, including vegetarian and vegan. Unlimited drinking water is supplied in the camp; the water is purified through well-maintained European standard filters thus reducing risk of waterborne diseases. Soft drinks and beer can be provided at your expense.
Free Time
As a rule, the weekends will be your own to relax and whilst in Tanzania you will have the opportunity to explore Moshi and get a real feel for the culture. There are a few bars and restaurants in the area to for some socialising at weekends.
If you opt to add Zanzibar on to your itinerary, then this is your real chance for some serious R&R at the end of all your hard work! We have included a day snorkelling in the Indian Ocean and looking for wild dolphins, typically on the south of the island but much of your time is spent at Nungwi, which can only be described as beach paradise, at the north of the Island. Your Zanzibar phase is bed and breakfast only so you can choose how you spend your days on the beach.
