The Vietnam Experience
Fancy going somewhere completely different? You’ll love Vietnam! This is a complete cultural package including loads of great travel experiences. Choose either to teach children English in a rural school or go trekking in the jungles and rainforests.
Depending on the time of year you will spend a final week relaxing on beautiful beaches in Ha Long Bay. |
| In the cooler months this visit will be shortened and you will spend 2 days at the Thanh Thuy Hot mineral water mine, bathing in extraordinary waters with temperatures of 37-43 degrees!
The Vietnam ExperienceWeek 1
Our programme co-ordinators will meet you at the hotel the next day and take you to Viet Tri. This is where you will be based for the first 2 weeks. Here you will start a one-week orientation, which includes visits to local markets, temples, caves, Vietnamese language lessons, cooking classes and sightseeing around Hanoi.
Week 2
In week 2 you learn all about Vietnamese culture. Includes an overnight stay with the Muong hill tribes. There will also be time for some relaxation in Dong Mo Resort.
Week 3 - Two options to choose from:
Option A: Teaching in a local rural school. You can assist teachers to teach English in rural primary and secondary schools.
Option B: Trekking in the rain forests, jungles and national parks of Vietnam experiencing the amazing wildlife and stunning waterfalls.
Week 4
April – September: Spend a week by the beach in Ha Long Bay with plenty of time to relax, swim, party & explore.
October – March: Visit Ha Long Bay with a 2-day visit to the warm waters of Thanh Thuy Hot mineral water mine.
Accommodation and Meals
Your first night in Hanoi will be spent in a hotel. During your orientation in Viet Tri you will be staying at a relaxed eco-house and accommodation during excursions will be in apartments, lodges or home stays.
If you choose to trek, you will be staying in tents, huts or even hammocks. If you choose to teach you’ll be staying at the eco-house or a home stay. During the final week in Ha Long Bay, you will be staying in chalet apartments.
All meals are included throughout the programme.
