Minimum 18 years, maximum decided upon potential participant’s health and fitness.
Your Programme in Australia
You will fly from London Heathrow airport to Sydney. On arrival into Sydney you will be met and taken to your hostel. The first part of your programme will provide you with a truly memorable first week in Australia with a group of like-minded travellers.
Group Arrivals
To make that long journey a little more interesting we have pre-arranged group flights available. Before you depart we will send out a contact list to everyone departing at the same time. That way you can arrange to meet at the airport and will all get to know one another before you even set foot on Aussie soil! There are departures every month - please talk to your travel advisor for exact dates.
ETA Visa
We will process your Australian Tourist Visa for you. This allows you to travel around Australia for up to 3 months. You are not permitted to work with this visa. If you think you would like to work, then you will need to apply for a Working Holiday Visa. We can process this for you for £119. Or you can do it yourself by contacting Australian Immigration.
Meet and Greet
You will be personally met at Sydney airport by one of our representatives and taken to Wake Up hostel.
Your transfer will include a brief orientation tour through the city centre, plus a harbour side briefing overlooking the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge!
Wake Up Hostel
Wake up hostel is conveniently located right next to Central station, and nearby you will find plenty of shops and restaurants, and the best bars and cafes. It is the perfect base for anyone visiting Sydney!
Facilities include:
- Good quality accommodation - spacious, clean rooms with key card entry.
- Personal lockers in all the rooms
- Side Bar - a great place to meet, play & party
- Bistro - tasty & cheap eats
- Internet - fast and super easy
- Travel Desk - to help you plan your onward trip around Oz

- Kitchen and Laundry facilities
Flights
Once you have booked, we will talk through the best flight options. The airlines depend on your departure dates. The inclusive price covers the airline ticket and the tax.
The flight sectors are:
- London – Sydney
- Sydney - Bangkok
- Bangkok - London
Initially we will book your flight sectors with dates. However you have the flexibility to change these dates for a small fee once you have left the UK, in case your plans change
Insurance
Our Gap Year comprehensive insurance policy is with Endsleigh. You will receive a policy document in your final pack, which outlines exactly what you are covered for. Full details of coverage are also available on our website www.realgap.co.uk/Insurance
Programme Support
Throughout your programmes you will have the support and guidance of the programme coordinator and team. You will be provided with competent assistance and help with any questions or advice you may need during your stay.
You will be assigned a personal travel advisor who will coordinate your programme with you. Feel free to contact them at any time before you go, or when you are on your travels.
