Zambia Teaching Programme
This community volunteer project is situated in Livingstone, Zambia against the backdrop of the magnificent Victoria Falls.
Schools in Livingstone, as is fairly typical for Zambia, have too many too many children to accommodate, so they normally run two or even three school sessions per day. Most of the schools have basic and ill-equipped facilities and a lack of teachers, but are full of children with a desire to learn, which is where you can help!
Volunteer RoleThis Zambia volunteer work begins with a comprehensive orientation and the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local community & culture.
Work as a teaching assistant in the classroom, or within sports coaching projects, which keep children off the streets and improve their social skills. You can also offer support and care for AIDS orphans and underprivileged children from the local community. You'll get to take part in a variety of interesting community development schemes that aim to help those most in need.
Project LocationLivingstone, Zambia: Just 6km away from the mighty Victoria Falls.
Accommodation and MealsVolunteers stay at one of our three volunteer houses, which are simple, clean and comfortable. Each bedroom will be shared between 3-8 volunteers. Three meals a day are included.
