Travel Zimbabwe |
 | Travel to Zimbabwe is a fantastic choice for anyone wanting to get close to African wildlife on their gap year abroad. If you travel to Zimbabwe you can visit some of the continent’s best game reserves and it’s also easy to cross the border in to Botswana in order to check out Chobe National Park and the incredible Okavango Delta (between them Zimbabwe and Botswana are home to virtually all of southern Africa’s recorded mammal species). Travelling in Zimbabwe is also extremely straight forward as it’s a relatively small country and has a well maintained road network compared to most other African countries. If you travel to Zimbabwe an absolutely unmissable highlight is the spectacular Victoria Falls (where it’s also possible to get stuck in to all kinds of adventure sports).
An excellent gap year Zimbabwe travel option if you’d like to get involved with wildlife conservation Africa is to do some Zimbabwe volunteer work with animals whilst you’re there. If you travel to Zimbabwe with Real Gap you can help out on either a lion or black rhino conservation programme.
