Reviews

I enjoyed the experience as a whole. It was challenging and hard work at times, but I enjoyed working with the lions and felt privileged be with them. I did see the real Africa, which was an amazing experience. The animals and views that I saw on my trip will stay with me forever, as they were truly amazing.

I was really really nervous because I have never traveled alone before, but Real Gap were very informative and put up with me ringing at all hours of the day to double and triple check ridiculous things!

My trip exceeded beyond belief all my expectations, the people, the lions, the atmosphere...everything was just a brand new and awesome world.

An amazing memory was taking a newly formed pride of lions out on their first night encounter together and being there to experience their first kill together under the incredible stars.

The location of Vic Falls was wonderful with loads to see and do on our days off. The local people working on the lion project were all so friendly and welcoming and totally dedicated to the cause. They were an inspiration and a pleasure to work with.
Tacita Rolls, August - September 2006
The best experience of my life. It was daunting setting off on the day of my departure, however as soon as I landed I and met all the other volunteers I felt right at home. I had some amazing experiences at both victoria falls, antelope park and also in dete where I helped with the red cross project. I met some fantastic friends of whom I am still friends with now and have the most amazing collection of photos which people never cease to ask questions about.

I would love to venture back one day and see the 2 week old cubs I bottle fed now fully grown. This quite honestly is the most amazing, unique and unforgettable journey you can take in africa! you must also do the white water rafting at vic falls and the gorge swing, I still have to watch the dvd of me doing to believe I did it!
