Day 1: Kuta

Welcome to beautiful Bali! On day one, you’ll be collected from the airport and taken to your accommodation in Kuta. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the rest of the group and get your bearings and, depending on the time you arrive, you’ll have the afternoon to explore the town, chill out on the white sandy beaches, or try out a blissful Balinese massage (extra cost) before sitting down to a welcome dinner and relaxing with a few drinks in the evening.

Day 2: Uluwatu Temple

Today, we'll visit the beautiful Uluwatu Temple that looks out over the sparkling Indian Ocean. After basking in the incredible views, we’ll hit the beach and enjoy a chilled-out surfing lesson with some local instructors. Spend some time riding the waves, before pulling out the glad rags and enjoying the famous Kuta nightlife.

Day 3: Tanah Lot Temple & Monkey Forest

Today, en route to Ubud, the group will visit Tanah Lot Temple, one of the most photographed temples in Bali. We’ll then visit the Monkey Forest and have lunch with the cheeky locals before exploring the colourful local markets of Bali’s cultural capital.

Day 4: Ubud community & Tegenungan Waterfall

This morning, we’re visiting a local primary school, where you’ll spend time in class talking to some of the children and finding out about Balinese life – prepare to have you heart melted by happy smiles! Afterwards, we’ll visit the stunning natural Tegenungan Waterfall for a quick dip beneath the cascading water. Adventure-lovers can also join an optional hike today.

Day 5: Ubud coffee plantations & rice terraces

We'll take a trip to a nearby coffee plantation today to find out how the world’s most expensive coffee is made. We’ll then tuck into lunch with views over an active volcano, before rounding off the day with a walk through Ubud’s striking emerald rice terraces.

Day 6: Gili Trawangan

Boarding the boat to the gorgeous Gili islands today, we’ll get settled into our beachside hotel before checking out the rest of the island with a bicycle tour. In the evening, we’ll watch the sun setting over the sea and get geared up for tonight’s beach party.

Day 7: Island hopping

We’ll spend today island-hopping and visiting some of the best snorkelling sites in Indonesia. The crystal clear waters and tropical coral reefs are incredible climates for spotting and swimming with some incredible marine life including sea turtles. In the evening we’ll have dinner as a group and party the night away to say farewell to those leaving the island tomorrow.

Day 8: Depart or travel on

If you’re leaving the tour today, you’ll need to make travel arrangements to get back to Denpasar – see flight details or FAQs for further information.

If you’re booked on the extended tour, you’ll have a bit of chill out time today. Spend your downtime whiling away the afternoon in a hammock, enjoying a few drinks poolside, or brushing up on your surfing skills. Later on, you’ll take part in a traditional Indonesian cooking lesson and get to enjoy the fruits of your labour afterwards when we sit down to our well-earned feast!

Day 9: Kuta Lombok

Today, we’ll journey on to Kuta Lombok, where we’ll meet a local Sasak tribe and learn about their traditional ways of life. We may even learn how to make sarongs! After saying goodbye to the tribe, we’ll head to our accommodation and enjoy some sunbathing on the perfect white sands of Kuta beach. Later, we’ll stretch out and top up our zen during a yoga class!

Day 10: Sun, sea & surf

Today it’s all about beautiful sun-drenched beaches as we cruise from Mawun beach in the morning to Selong Belanak beach in time for lunch. In the afternoon we’ll take to the waves with our second surf lesson before heading to a lookout point to witness incredible views over Lombok by sunset.

Day 11: Lovina

Leaving Lombok today, we’ll board the boat back to Bali – heading to the north of the island this time. We’ll arrive at our accommodation in Lovina in time for a bit of rest and relaxation before heading out for dinner and drinks in the evening.

Day 12: Marine life in Lovina

Back at sea for the morning, we’ll be heading out early to sail alongside dolphins as they dive through the waves. Afterwards we’ll get to have a closer look at the colourful marine life with a snorkelling session. We’ll visit the hot springs in the afternoon before making our way to the impressive Gitgit falls for a dip in the cool waters.

Day 13: Farewell

We’ll make the journey back to Kuta on our final day in Bali before saying our goodbyes. If you want to ask about onward travels or get recommendations from your group leader for other places to visit before heading home, now’s your chance.

Please note: Due to the recent earthquakes in Bali in August 2018, this trip will follow a slightly amended temporary itinerary while local repairs are carried out.

On days 6-8, you will spend time in the gorgeous surroundings of Lovina instead of the Gili Islands. You will enjoy a cooling dip in the spectacular Gitgit Waterfalls and an unforgettable dolphin-spotting cruise and snorkelling trip. Travellers on the 8-day trip will depart on the morning of day 8.

Travellers on the 13-day trip will enjoy a swim in the epic Aling-Aling waterfalls before travelling on to Ubud on day 9. You will spend days 9-13 here in Ubud instead of Lombok. You’ll enjoy a visit to the enchanting Ulun Danu Baratan floating temple, a cooking class and market visit, an excursion to the Tukad Cepung Waterfall and a sunrise hike up the slopes of Mount Batur. You’ll then round off the adventure with a relaxing stop in the Tjampuan hot and cold pools!

We are monitoring the situation in Bali, and will continue to update the itinerary in response to local developments. Please contact a travel advisor for more information.
