Ben and Harriet's Thailand Adventure- Day 4!

Hi all! It's Harriet this time, blogging from the heart of Thailand! A few days ago we started our volunteering adventure...

Wow what a day we've had today! Earlyish start around 9am. Wandered over to our new favourite local restaurant for some breakfast for me (and coffee for Ben!) I opted for noodles fried with egg and chilli flakes with lime - it was ideal, so much more fun than cornflakes!

We then met our amazing guide for the day - Mr Watts. He was a wonderfully kind 50 year old man who...

Ben and Harriet's Thailand Adventure- Day 3!

Hi, it's Ben again! Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Bangkok on Thursday- so here's a catch up of what we got up to on the next step of our adventure...

After leaving our time in Bangkok behind us (sob...) we started to head awesome Kanchanaburi to meet some of the Thailand Experience group, the lovely lot who came out here on the 8th March. We woke up at 11am after having a very heavy night- we were both feeling the pain but we had a 3 hour journey to kick back and relax so it was all...

Ben and Harriet's Thailand Adventure- Day 2!

Hi guys! I'm currently out in Thailand with Harriet, reporting back to RG base on a day to day basis. We've done so much already!

After a great nights sleep we woke up in preparation to meet our tour guide, 'On'. He's a great guy, very chatty and spoke excellent English (better than me and Harriet, ha!). We met 'On' in the Sawasadee reception, jumped in a tuk tuk and headed off to our first stop- the Grand Palace.

It cost 500THB to get into the Grand Palace, which is actually included for...

Real Gap's South Africa Big 5!

I've just come back from a trip of a lifetime around our Real Gap South African projects, and I thought I'd start by telling you all about my first stop off- the Big 5 trip!

We flew into Port Elizabeth fairly late in the day, so as soon as we arrived we were picked up with someone showing a sign with my name on it. After the introductions we jumped into a car and started on our journey to the game reserve. It was about an hours journey, and was great to see some of the scenery along the way! Read More

Our Top 5 Picks- New Zealand

Who fancies a good old fashioned countdown? Hi there, it's Sophie again from NZ- and today I'm going to give you guys a top five of the stunning New Zealand!

5. Christchurch

After the destructive force of the Christchurch earthquake back in 2011, the whole city is re-emerging and the sense of community spirit is clear to see. As part of the re-development plans they have built a city mall out of shipping containers, which is completely awesome! The memorial '185 chairs' dedicated to the...

Diving Down Under!

Hi, it's Sophie here! Today on the RG blog, I'm going to be talking about my diving experiences...

When travelling to Aus, you think of three things:

1. The Sydney Opera House
2. The Sydney Harbour Bridge
3. The Great Barrier Reef!

As we were due to see the Bridge and the Opera House in the upcoming weeks, we decided the only logical thing to do when we were on Magnetic was to go and visit the Reef. With some boat companies you can glide along in a glass bottomed boat to see the reef but we...
