This is a popular route (and for good reason), but we know that one size doesn’t fit all. We want you to be able to travel with as much freedom and flexibility as possible, so if you’d like to take out, or add any destinations, or you’d rather not do the working holiday part of the trip, just get in touch with our team and we’ll work with you to build the trip of your dreams.
Sawasdeeka and welcome to Thailand! Kick off with two days in bustling Bangkok, with a long-tail boat tour, and a night out on Khao San Road, before boarding the night train north. Spend a night in Chiang Mai before visiting an amazing ethical elephant project and taking a 2 day hike through the jungle (including bamboo rafting and a night in a rustic retreat). Then hop on a short flight south, where the paradise isles of Koh Phi Phi awaits. Trek to a viewpoint, take a boat trip to stunning Maya Bay and Monkey Island and party all night long. Next up it’s Ao Nang, where we’ll take a guided street-food crawl, paddle a kayak into the mangrove forests and take a boat trip to Hong and Poda islands. The pristine national park of Khao Sok is our next stop, where we’ll stay in a traditional floating bungalow and take a sunrise boat safari, before continuing on to laid back Koh Samui. Enjoy a night out in Chaweng and take a boat excursion into spectacular Ang Thong Marine Park. Then hop on the ferry to the famous party isle of Koh Phangan where we’ll spend 3 blissful days before hitting our last Thai island – the dinky diving isle of Koh Tao. Enjoy some world class snorkelling and relaxation before we make our way back to where we started – Bangkok.
Start your Bali break in lively Canggu with visits to Uluwatu Temple, a surfing lesson and some big nights out. Then hit Tanah Lot temple and Monkey Forest, before arriving in Ubud, Bali’s cultural heart. Explore the colourful markets, visit a local primary school, swim in a natural waterfall and visit a local coffee plantation as well as some of the famous rice terraces. Our next destination is paradise on Earth, otherwise known as Gili Trawangan. Take a bicycle tour of the car-free island, join an island-hopping trip, and learn to cook traditional Indonesian food. Then board the ferry to Lombok, where we’ll meet a Sasak tribe, do some yoga, and take another surf lesson. Say goodbye to Lombok as we sail back to beautiful Bali for two nights in Lovina. Join a sunrise dolphin trip, visit some epic hot springs, and a lush waterfall for a dip. Then get ready for your next country on the trip – Australia!
(Please note: if you don’t want to work in Australia we can update your itinerary so you join the Sydney to Cairns Experience instead. Please speak to our travel advisers for more information.)
Our amazing adventure begins in sunny Sydney, where you’ll have a week of fun before starting your new working life Down Under. We’ll take you on an orientation tour, enjoy a jet-boat experience on the Harbour, take a coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee Beach, and tuck into a classic Aussie BBQ. We’ll break the week up with two nights in the seaside town of Port Stephens, for surfing lessons, beach parties, a wild kangaroo encounter, sand boarding and a dolphin cruise. Back in Sydney we’ll get serious for a mo, as we run two comprehensive sessions on finding work and accommodation in Australia. We’ll sign you up to the jobs board and set you up with everything you need to get earning (tax file number, Medicare card, and SIM card), before you head off for the next stage of your adventure. You’re not alone though – you’ll have the support of our local jobs team for the next 12 months, plus access to Oz Jobs – our online jobs resource.
Welcome to New Zealand! The 12-month NZ Travel Pass is one of the best ways to explore this beautiful country. If you don't have a year to spend here, you can use your pass as a one-time journey, which can be done in 30 days (suggested itinerary in trip notes), although we'd recommend giving yourself at least 38 days to complete it if you can. The bus pass is open dated which means we will issue you with the pass, but you'll need to select your start date and book each sector of your travel around New Zealand (we’ll give you full instructions on how to book your seats on the buses). With stops across both the North and South Islands such as Auckland, Queenstwon, Abel Tasman, Rotorua, Kaikoura, Franz Josef and many more!
Bula! Your Fiji adventure begins in Nadi with a beach barbecue, a sunset yoga session, a stand-up paddleboard session, jungle trek, and a trip to nearby islands, Vatulele and Yanuca. Then sail to the remote volcanic islands of Yasawa, where we’ll spend two amazing nights enjoying beach activities and visiting some limestone caves and a local village. Next up it’s Waya Island for sunset tubing, crab-racing, learning authentic weaving skills and a traditional Meke show. Then head back to Nadi before preparing for the final leg of your journey in the USA.
Welcome to America! We’ll start off in sunny LA with a whistle-stop tour of the highlights including Beverley Hills, the Walk of Fame, Sunset Boulevard, Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Next up it’s San Diego, where we’ll explore the Gaslamp Quarter, Balbao Park and Old Town. Then head inland to Phoenix, Arizona for a delicious BBQ dinner and the Tempe District. The next stop’s a biggie – none other than the Grand Canyon. Marvel at the rugged landscape and watch the sun set over the rim before two nights on a glampsite at the heart of the national park. Then we’re off to Vegas (via the legendary Route 66), where we’ll take a tour of the strip and party all night long. Next up it’s Bass Lake where you can recover from Vegas in tranquil surroundings and take a day trip to the majestic Yosemite National Park. We’ll finish off in beautiful San Francisco where we’ll have two days to see the sights and hang with the hippies before our amazing trip comes to an end. See you next time!

Due to Covid-19, many of our partners and suppliers across the globe are putting in place new procedures and policies regarding health and safety in response to the outbreak. These new measures will adapt and change as the state of travel evolves, and the policies and procedures will vary depending on each trip. Some changes that you may experience on our trips are:
Updated safety & hygiene procedures
Health and safety measures will be adapted by our partners and suppliers, dependent on local laws and restrictions.
Different transport & accommodation
You may find yourself on transport or in accommodation that would not typically be used, such as hostels that are more secluded, or on more private transport. This may vary by trip, or even by individual departure dates.
Most trips include a meeting on arrival with the guide or local team to discuss the trip, and this is an opportunity for you to ask any questions. You should arrive in time to attend these briefings.
Emergency support 24/7
We have a UK based 24/7 emergency phone line if you have a genuine urgent matter that you need attending.

Varying group sizes
To begin with, many trips will run with amended group sizes, so you may find smaller groups than would be typical. This may vary by trip, or even by individual departure dates.
Whilst there may be changes on our trips, it is vital that you make travelling safer for yourself, your travel companions, the local staff and guides, and the people of the country you are visiting. You should follow all local laws and restrictions, and follow the guidance of the local team. In addition, you can help make travel safer by bringing and using your own face coverings/masks and hand sanitiser, social distance where appropriate, wash your hands frequently, and cover your face when coughing or sneezing.
