Single rooms are available for an additional fee upon request, and you can also request double, twin or triple rooms  if you are travelling with friends. Bathroom facilities will be shared.

You will find food in Australia to suit all taste buds, with the larger cities in particular offering a great range of places to eat. Due to the large amount of British settlers, Australian food is reasonably similar to that in Western Europe, but if you are feeling particularly adventurous get involved in some bush tucker (kangaroo, emus) or the infamous vegemite. For less scary Aussie food, look out for fresh seafood and of course, a typical Aussie barbecue!

Please let Real Gap Experience know before you depart if you are a vegetarian or have any other dietary requirements.

We cannot guarantee Wi-Fi access at your accommodation, but you should be able to make use of local internet cafes during your spare time.

The Australia dialling code is +61, so if you’re calling an Australian number from a UK phone you’d simply put +61 in front of the Australian number. It’s well worth letting your friends and family know beforehand!

We cannot guarantee that laundry facilities will be available at your accommodation. It is advisable to carry travel wash or biodegradable soap with you to ensure you’ll be able to do your own washing should you need to!
