Day 1: Miami – Everglades
Kick off on the glamorous palm-fringed boulevards of Miami and head down to the Everglades to spend the night in authentic swamp chickees! It’s an early start today as the trip kicks off at 7:30am, so we recommend that you arrive the day before and book a night of pre-tour accommodation.
Day 2-3: Savannah
Discover the rich southern heritage of Savannah, with its multitude of historic squares and stunning colonial architecture.
Day 4: Charleston
Step back in time as you wander the quaint cobbled streets of Charleston, dodging horse-drawn carriages as you explore.
Day 5: Asheville
Time to glimpse America’s stranger side as you spend the night in the unique city of Asheville.
Day 6-7: Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Enjoy two nights in the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains. Spend your time here hiking and soaking up the misty mountain views.
Day 8: West Virginia
West Virginia is home to some awesome adventure activities. Try your hand at a spot of white water rafting or zip lining. (Optional activities at extra cost)
Day 9-10: Washington, DC
America’s political hub is up next. Check out the White House and the city’s awesome free museums.
Day 11-12: Philadelphia – New York City
Tuck into a traditional Philly Cheesesteak and then take a big bite of the Big Apple! See the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty.
Day 13-14: Boston
Discover Boston, with its lively Irish bars and revolutionary history.
Day 15-16. Acadia National Park
Another gorgeous National Park. Explore this stunning region of lakes and mountains.
Day 17-18: White Mountain National Forest
Venture into the forest for another two days of breath taking natural beauty.
Day 19: Green Mountains
Vermont is the next state on your list! Spend a night in the glorious Green Mountains.
Day 20: Niagara Falls
Visit Buffalo and then see the legendary Niagara Falls illuminated this evening.
Day 21: Cleveland
An incredible experience today as you see the falls up close on the ‘Maid of the Mist’. Then journey to Cleveland for some relaxation.
Day 22-23: Van Buren State Park
Van Buren State Park is home to 400 acres of forest trails and a mile-long sandy beach. Enjoy!
Day 24: Indianapolis
Strike into the heart of Indiana and check out Indianapolis, a city of hipster breweries and epic live entertainment.
Day 25: Mammoth Cave National Park
Fancy seeing the world’s longest cave? Of course you do! Discover this incredible park and scratch the surface of its 400 miles of underground passageways.
Day 26-27: Nashville
Home of country music, Nashville has bags of toe-tapping things to do. Make sure to bring your dancing boots!
Day 28: Birmingham
Not that Birmingham. This one’s in Alabama, the birthplace of Southern jazz! There’s also a rich history of civil rights to be found here.
Day 29-30: New Orleans
If you like jazz, you’ll love New Orleans! Home of the Mardi Gras, New Orleans is full of charm and intoxicating rhythms.
Day 31: Tupelo
Enough jazz. Now time for some good ol’ Rock n Roll! Tupelo is the birthplace of the King himself: Elvis Presley. Pull on your Blue Suede Shoes and check out the town!
Day 32-33: Clarksdale – Memphis
We’ve had jazz. We’ve had rock. Now time for some smoky Blues and Soul. Discover the rich musical heritages of Clarksdale and Memphis and opt to take a tour of Elvis’ home, Graceland.
Day 34: St. Louis
St. Louis is all about rollercoasters and night life. Chase thrills at Six Flags theme park and then try the local beer.
Day 35-36: Chicago
The so-called Windy City is next! Wander the streets, catch a baseball game and sample the city’s swingin’ night life.
Day 37: Wisconsin Dells
Wisconsin Dells is all about two things: fudge and water parks! Go wild for both!
Day 38: Minneapolis
Home to Black River Falls, Minnehaha Falls, the Juicy Lucy Burger and America’s largest mall. What’s not to love?
Day 39: Des Moines – Kansas City
Tick off 3 states in one fell swoop today as you swing through Iowa, Missouri and Kansas. In Kansas City, visit the steamboat museums and tuck into some authentic BBQ.
Day 40: Oklahoma City
We’re into real cowboy territory now. Follow the southern trail towards Oklahoma City and enjoy some boot tapping yee-haw nightlife!
Day 41-42: Dallas
Into Texas, the largest state of our trip! Learn about the dark history of JFK’s assassination with a walk around the infamous grassy knoll and 6th Floor Museum.
Day 43: Carlsbad Caverns National Park
See soaring stalagmites and stalactites in these creepy caverns. In the evenings, the night air is swarming with bats! Well worth a look!
Day 44-45: Santa Fe
Time for some artsy atmospheres now as we roll into Santa Fe. Check out the local crafts sellers on Canyon Road and sample some Santa Fe nightlife this evening.
Day 46: Great Sand Dunes National Park
As you’ll have noticed, the landscape in the USA is constantly shifting, from green forests to desolate plains. Today you’ll see something completely different! Enjoy sand surfing and swimming in this incredible sandy park.
Day 47-48: Rocky Mountain National Park
Venture into the impressive rock formations of Rocky Mountains National Park and keep your eyes peeled for wonderful wildlife, including eagles, elk and bears!
Day 49-50: Mount Rushmore
Journey north through Nebraska and South Dakota and see the legendary presidential faces carved into Mount Rushmore. Gaze up at Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln, and then see a memorial dedicated to Crazy Horse, an iconic Native American leader.
Day 51: Theodore Roosevelt National Park
Look out for over 200 species of beautiful birds in the picturesque surroundings of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Hike, chill, chat with your mates. You know the score.
Day 52: Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument
Experience a slice of America’s brutal history at the site of Custer’s Last Stand at the Battle of Little Bighorn. Pay your respects to the Sioux and Cheyenne Native Americans who gave their lives as their homeland changed around them.
Day 53-54: Yellowstone National Park
There are few national parks that are as visually impressive as Yellowstone. With explosive geysers, volcanic pools, gushing waterfalls, and wandering buffalo, this park delivers jaw-dropping scenery at every turn.
Day 55: Craters Of The Moon National Monument
Today we’re heading to the moon! Well, not quite. But as close to the real thing as you can get on earth! Take one small step for man on this incredible lunar landscape.
Day 56: Salt Lake City
After ten days in the countryside, it’s time to top up on some city life. Hit up the museums, pubs and clubs of Salt Lake City.
Day 57-58: Arches National Park – Dead Horse Point
Head into Moab, home to 2000 natural rock archways and some of America’s greatest adventure activities. Try optional mountain biking and canyon trekking.
Day 59: Monument Valley
Into Western territory now, as we journey through the iconic landscapes of Monument Valley. Enjoy an optional 4x4 tour into the heart of the valley with a Navajo guide.
Day 60-61: Grand Canyon National Park
Here it is, the USA’s most famous natural wonder. Gaze out across this incredible canyon and delve into the depths on the fantastic hiking trails.
Day 62-63: Route 66 – Las Vegas
Follow this legendary road trip route as you cruise through Nevada. Hit Las Vegas, Sin City itself, and immerse yourself in this neon-soaked wonderland. See the main strip in style on an included party bus!
Day 64-65: Los Angeles
Arrive at the West Coast and explore the star-studded streets of L.A. Grab a selfie next to the Hollywood sign and stroll along Venice Beach.
Day 66: Santa Barbara
Journey north towards Santa Barbara. Chill by the waterfront, try some local wine and ease into the laid-back West Coast vibe.
Day 67: Monterey
Big Sur has some fantastic coastal views. Have your camera at the ready as we cruise along the coast.
Day 68-69: Yosemite National Park
Arguably one of America’s most beautiful national parks, Yosemite (pronounced Yo-sem-it-ee) has marvellous mountains, plummeting waterfalls and gentle rivers. Soak it all in. You won’t forget this incredible area.
Day 70-71: San Francisco
Keep an eye out for the iconic red arches of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy an included tour of the bridge, plus free time to explore the city’s friendly and diverse neighbourhoods.
Day 72-73: Redwood National Park
The final national park of your adventure! See the soaring trees of this wonderful park and follow the coastal and riverside trails.
Day 74: Portland
Enjoy the hipster vibes of Portland today, the penultimate stop of your tour. Get together with your group in the many independent coffee shops and microbreweries and look back over your unforgettable adventure.
Day 75: Seattle
Our last day! We arrive into Seattle, a sleepless city of music and marketplaces. The tour ends at around 5pm. If you plan to fly tonight, don’t book a flight that departs before 9pm to allow for transfers and check-in.

74 nights of accommodation are included on this tour. The majority of your time will be spent camping in American campsites. A few evenings will be spent in hotels or budget accommodation.
Meals are not included on this tour. You are required to contribute USD10 per day to a food kitty that will cover your meals at camp. You will take turns in the group to prepare and shop for food.
Your tour starts in Miami at 7:30am on day 1. Due to this early start we recommend you arrive the night before and book an extra night of accommodation at your own cost.
Your tour ends in Seattle on day 75 at approx. 5pm. If you plan to fly out that night, please don’t book a flight that departs before 9pm to allow time for transfers and check-in.
The minimum age to join this trip is 18. Please be aware that the legal drinking age in the USA is 21. If you are under 21 years old you will not be able to buy alcohol or enter clubs/casinos.
British Nationals visiting the USA will be able to travel (for tourism purposes) under the US Visa Waiver Programme for up to 90 days. If you intend to stay for longer than this, plan to work, have ever been arrested or hold any criminal convictions, you will need to apply for a visa.

What Is The Average Age Of The Tour Participants?
The age range is 18-38 and early to mid twenties are the most common ages.
How Fit Do I Need To Be?
There will be a fair bit of walking and hiking on the tour as well as the opportunity to do lots of activities. So you should be relatively fit but dont forget that activities are optional so you can do the trip at your own pace.
Will I Be The Only Person Travelling On My Own?
No, the majority of our travellers are solo travellers and you will meet lots of people on your tour!
What If I Have Never Camped Before?
Don't worry, your fantastic tour leader will show you how to put your tent up and use your camping equipment.
How Much Money Do I Need To Bring On The Tour?
For camping tours you will need to budget for the food kitty. This is usually US$10 a day however see individual tour pages for specific details. This will cover all of your meals while camping but does not cover meals during hotel stops or when the group chooses to sample regional cuisine.
Do I Need To Tip?
Although it may not be customary in your country, it is normal and expected in North America to tip waiters, bar staff, any type of guide and taxi drivers. Service workers are paid a low wage and depend upon their tips for their livelihood. A minimum of 15% is standard in restaurants. Your tour leader works long and hard for you. He or she may well become your close friend during the tour, but they also need to pay their bills. If the leader's performance meets or exceeds your expectations we recommend a tip of US $5 per person, per day.

Varying group sizes
To begin with, many trips will run with amended group sizes, so you may find smaller groups than would be typical. This may vary by trip, or even by individual departure dates.
Whilst there may be changes on our trips, it is vital that you make travelling safer for yourself, your travel companions, the local staff and guides, and the people of the country you are visiting. You should follow all local laws and restrictions, and follow the guidance of the local team. In addition, you can help make travel safer by bringing and using your own face coverings/masks and hand sanitiser, social distance where appropriate, wash your hands frequently, and cover your face when coughing or sneezing.
