Visas

It is your responsibility to obtain the necessary visas and correct travel documents for your time away.

Namibia
Although British nationals can enter Namibia for a holiday or private visit of up to 90 days without a visa, there have been cases where visitors have only been given permission to stay for periods much shorter than 90 days, sometimes as short as only 7 or 10 days. Before leaving the immigration desk in the airport arrivals hall, check that you have been given permission to stay in Namibia for the duration of your intended visit up to the maximum allowable of 90 days and that you have been given a correctly dated entry stamp by Namibian Immigration officials, as this will be checked on departure.

South Africa
Nationals of the EU, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand don't require a visa to enter South Africa, though South African Immigration does ask that you have two completely blank consecutive pages in your passport. As long as you hold a valid passport (and a valid return ticket) you will be granted a temporary visitor's permit on arrival.

What Are Typical Group Sizes?

This depends from trip to trip but the average size is around 18 people. The maximum is 22.

Travellers from other countries may need to apply for a visa in advance of travel. Please check the relevant embassy website for more information.

How Much Spending Money Should I Take?

This really depends on what sort of a spender you are! You will need around USD75-100 for meals that are not included and a little extra for drinks and activities. Take a look at the itinerary and have a think about what optional activities you would like to get involved in. Approximate costs are in brackets.
