Trip Summary

Based in Queenstown, New Zealand’s winter capital, you’ll spend 7 days on the snow learning to ski or practising your already developed skills. Don’t worry if you haven’t tried skiing before, you can book onto a first timer lesson and the instructors will have you skiing down the mountain in no time.

You’ll get to Ski at Remarkables and Coronet Peak and the in-country team will be able to show you the best trails and areas to test your skills.

Everything you need is just a stone throw away from the base and there is plenty of stunning scenery for you to enjoy.

Trip Info

Day 1: Arrival

Kia Ora and welcome to your New Zealand Winter Ski trip! The scenery will totally amaze you today as we settle into our accommodation for the exciting week ahead.

Queenstown has everything on offer and all within a stone's throw from our base. We will get you checked in, sorted with lift passes, transport cards, and off on a town walking tour to familiarise you with the local surroundings. Get to know all of your new mountain friends over a meal at one of Queenstown's most iconic restaurants.

Day 2: Ski

Grab your gear and let's go! A great day to head on up to Coronet Peak Ski area, and strut your stuff or find your ski legs. You can book in for some first timer lessons or even just a refresher class from your last time on snow. The in-country team can take you around and show you some off the great trails and all of the mountain facilities, this will be the start of some great stories over the week ahead.

Day 3: Continue to Ski

Ready for the real stuff - take the bus on up the very scenic drive to the Remarkables Ski area and test your skills. With trails for all levels this ski field is the jewel of Queenstown with some astonishing views just a short walk up from the top of the Shadow Basin Chairlift.

Lessons of all levels available again, and there is even a Tube Park for some sliding action. Check with your crew to organise a soaking at the Onsen Hot Pools to rest up those aching muscles.

Day 4: Continue to Ski

A great day to go back and check out your favourite ski mountain.There will be time to stop and admire the reflection in Mirror Lake, the views down the Hollyford Valley, and literally drive through the mountain via the Homer Tunnel and emerge back into a landscape of spectacular mountains and waterfalls. Fur seals and bottlenose dolphins are often seen and, on the odd occasion the rare Fiordland Crested Penguins can also be out playing. Our afternoon cruise is an intimate look into the history and geology of the Fiord while exploring small nooks and crannies along the edges, nudging into sheer rock faces to examine flora and fauna in detail and is sure to be a real highlight!

Day 5: Continue to Ski

Queenstown is perfect for everyone from the adrenalin junkie to the leisure seeker - there is just so much more to do off the mountains. You can exchange your Superpass towards a number of local off mountain activities (check with your crew for these). You can always chill out in a local restaurant, cafe or bar, or simply chill out by the lake. Tonight we will regroup in town for another meal together and catch up on what everyone has been up to.

Day 6: Last day to Ski

No visit to Queenstown is valid without a visit to the Ferg Bakery! Grab your breakfast voucher from your crew to excite your breakfast senses. Be sure to save a ski pass for this final day of our week together, and what a way to finish off. Have a little sleep in to recover and head up to the mountain after lunch for an afternoon and evening of twilight mountain action. With a DJ on the hill, BBQ meals and bars, your afternoon and night of skiing is sure to be a huge highlight. Once back down from the mountain the partly life of Queenstown awaits and with an endless choice of favourites, we are sure you will have a brilliant final night in this Ski Town Central.

Day 7: Time to Say Goodbye

With a lazy morning and only our bags to pack up, you can grab an all-day breakfast at a time that suits your schedule, be sure to say goodbye to the rest of your group before you head off from your big and busy week and ... as they say in Kiwi ... it's been real-as, bro! Ka Kite Ano!

Accommodation & Meals

6 nights in motel style accommodation is included in the package.

The number of people in a room varies depending on the type of accommodation. To keep costs down accommodation is based on a four-share, same sex basis.

If you are travelling with a friend and require twin or double accommodation, this is available at a small extra charge and can be requested at the time of booking.

6 breakfasts and 2 dinners are included in this package.

A typical breakfast consists of cereals with milk or yoghurt, bread, a range of spreads, and fruit juice, tea or coffee. It is rare to get a hot breakfast, though on some occasions it may be available.

Included evening meals will be combination of those prepared by the road crew, local restaurants and places in which we stay.

If you have any dietary requirements we will make every effort to cater to your specific needs as long as you advise your travel agent at the time of booking. But please be aware that although we will do everything in our power to arrange it, we cannot guarantee that every restaurant we use will be able to cater to all dietary needs. We also cannot cater for tastes or dislikes, as most of our included evening meals feature a set menu.
