Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City any time you like on day one - your group leader will pick you up from the airport, but afterwards you're free to explore the city. Visit the crammed and colourful markets and street shops, or watch the world speed by whilst sipping iced coffee. In the evening meet up with the rest of the team for a few drinks. On day two you'll have a full city orientation and visit the National War Museum for a frank and harrowing glimpse into the country's recent past.

Day 3-4: Mui Ne

We'll make our way east to the buzzing coastal town of Mui Ne and, once we've checked into our accommodation, we'll head out to the beautiful sand dunes for a guided tour. The next day we'll spend some well-deserved chill out time on the beach and try out a few optional water activities - kite surfing or kayaking, anyone? In the evening we'll catch the night bus to Nha Trang.

Day 5-6: Nha Trang

After a quick stop in Nha Trang, we'll hop on the shuttle bus to Ninhvana - our all-inclusive backpacker resort, where the activities, food and drinks are yours to indulge in: paddle boarding, kayaking, bike tours, guided treks, yoga classes, and more. Facilities include: two swimming pools, beach volleyball courts, outdoor cinema, and a basketball court. On day six, we'll head back into Nha Trang to board the night bus to Hoi An.

Day 7-8: Hoi An

Our visit to Hoi An will start with a traditional lantern making class to make our own miniature versions. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore the quaint town - go and take a look at the silk shops and tailors, or relax by the riverside for a bite to eat. On day eight we'll spend the morning crab fishing and bobbing through the water coconut woods in traditional basket boats for an utterly charming experience.

Day 9-10: Hue

We'll set off on an adventure as we jump in open-top Jeeps and head for the Hai Van Pass, fondly known as the Top Gear Experience. Once we arrive in Hue, we'll get checked into our accommodation then head out for a few drinks in the evening. On day ten we'll get to explore the former capital properly with a tour of the historic centre and Royal Palace.

Day 11-12: Phong Nha

Next up is the small town of Phong Nha. Arriving early evening on day 11, we'll check in and then head into town for drinks. We'll spend the day exploring the magical cave formations and waterholes before making tracks in the evening on an overnight train to Hanoi.

Day 13: Hanoi

Dropping our bags off at the hostel, we'll kick things off with a fun Vietnamese cooking class, where we'll learn to cook the local cuisine before tucking into the group's offerings. You'll have free time in the afternoon to chill out or explore as you wish.

We'll travel to Castaway Island in Halong Bay for views over the bay while we enjoy lunch and an afternoon of water sports before partying on the beach in the evening. The next day, we'll go on a junk boat tour of the ancient caves and lagoons - keep an eye out for mischievous monkeys!

Day 16-17: Hanoi

After a chilled out morning by the beachside, we'll make our way back to Hanoi on day 16, and enjoy an evening of shared stories and farewell drinks for our final night together as a group. Eligibility & FAQ's

The minimum age for this trip is 18.

You will need a visa to enter Vietnam, which you should obtain before travelling. Most UK Passport Holders will qualify for an e-visa, which can be applied for online. You must have at least six months’ validity remaining on your passport from the date you plan to return home.

Please note Vietnamese visa rules are subject to change without prior notice, so please do check visa requirements at the time of your trip.

Do I Need Any Vaccinations?

We’re not qualified to offer you medical advice, so you should visit your GP well ahead of time to find out what inoculations you might need. Remember to tell them exactly where you’re travelling to as vaccination and medication requirements vary between different Indian regions. You’ll also need to make sure you have enough of any prescribed medication to see you through the duration of your trip.

How Much Spending Money Should I Bring With Me?

Vietnam is relatively low-cost as far as food and drink is concerned, so a rough budget of around 3500000VND-4500000VND/£120-£150 per week should be plenty to keep you fed and watered, but you’ll more than likely want to try out a few optional activities and have some extra cash for souvenirs, so make sure you budget for this.

I’m Travelling With A Friend, Can We Stay Together?

Yes! Let us know when you book and we’ll make sure you both get to stay in the same rooms.
