Africa

An Africa gap year is an excellent place for volunteer work abroad, whether you help Africa or take part in Africa Conservation. We have opportunities to volunteer with wildlife, communities, children, marine life and voluntary conservation work.
Africa has an extraordinary diversity of wildlife and some of the most unspoilt wilderness and conservation areas in the world, Real Gap's projects are some of the best available in Africa. There is a vibrant mixture of cultures and African people are friendly and welcoming.

Asia

Asia is a hugely diverse region with so much to offer. We have Asia gap year volunteer work and travel programmes throughout the continent offering volunteer work with children, within under-privileged communities, animal conservation or paid work abroad.

Real Gap has a wide range of volunteer projects in Australia, along with many paid work options in both Oz and New Zealand. Eastern Europe is a new, alternative destination to travel on a gap year - do something unique on your gap year, rather than following the crowds to the usual backpacker destinations.
Eastern European travel is easy and cheap from the UK so you wont have to save up the money for expensive flights, something that prevents many people from taking time out. We have worthwhile volunteer projects - teaching or caring for children, working within the community or more physical work as an Orphanage Building volunteer.

Take a gap year in North America. North America offers a mixture of culture and scenery. We can help you find paid gap year work in America or Canada, get involved in volunteer work in the USA or just have an adventure and travel North America.
