We love a good old festival here in the Real Gap office, but who could blame us? Between us Real Gappers we've pretty much done the lot (V Fest, Glastonbury, Isle of Wight... the list goes on!)- and so that got us thinking, where are the best festivals to hit outside of the UK?
What could be better... a big fat festival, the sunshine shining its little heart out and a new place to explore in your free time; BLISS. So festi-fans, here's our list of our best of the best around the world (you can thank us later!):
Sziget, Hungary: Who fancies seeing the likes of Dizzie Rascal, Biffy Clyro, Editors and Chase & Status over a week long spectacular in the awesome Budapest? RG's Rach has already signed up to go, and judging by the full line up we don't blame her!
Rock Werchter, Belgium: Over the past 30 odd years, Belgium's Rock Werchter has pretty much gone under the radar to all of us UK festifans- but this year the team over at RW have really pulled it out of the bag! Want to be amazed? Expect Kings of Leon, Green Day, Blur, Rammstein and The Editors to headline- but that's not without the support of the likes of Ben Howard, The Script, Of Monsters and Men, Jake Bugg and Biffy Clyro too. Four days of music HEAVEN.
Coachella, US: Although this year's Coachella ended at the weekend, it doesn't mean we shouldn't be keeping our eye out for updates on next year! Situated within a hop, skip and a jump away from the glamorous LA, it's a great place to listen to music on the sly, surf during your free time, or even hit our West Coast tour!
Splendour in the Grass, Aus: Located near the beautiful Byron Bay, this years Splendour in the Grass looks like a real stunner. How does Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean, the Klaxons, Haim and Laura Marling (etc etc) sound? Yeah, we thought so. ACE.
Ibiza/Mallorca Rocks: Tinie Tempah. Bastille. Ellie Goulding. Chase & Status. Franz Ferdinand. We're liking the look of this years line up, that's for sure!
So what do you reckon Real Gappers, are you going to be rockin' out at a festival this summer? Comment below if you are! In the meantime, we'll see you at V Fest...
